OneShield identified a need to refresh its brand in support of its strategic plan to help the organization become more competitive in its market space of property & casualty/general insurance software and services. Through a series of discovery sessions, audits and SWOT analysis, Blazing consulted on the organization’s short- and long-term business and marketing goals, mission, vision and values. From there, a brand plan was crafted – an ownable competitive position, master brand architecture, brand voice/personality and brand identity – to clearly differentiate the brand and provide relevancy to various target markets.
With alignment on the strategic brand plan, it was time to overhaul content and explore and define the graphical representation of the brand positioning. Various design treatments were explored for corporate stationary, and sales and marketing tactics including a corporate brochure, data sheets, presentations, emails, case studies, video, direct mail, event signage and the website. A corporate identity and brand standards manual was also developed to provide brand education and consistency.
The refreshed brand was launched in the summer of 2014 to great feedback from employees, current clients, analysts and prospects. With a clear product roadmap and succinct brand plan, OneShield is well poised for growth. Blazing and OneShield continue collaboration to evolve strategic communications requirements through a recent acquisition and on-going marketing plan requirements.
Castrol Oil is the official sponsor of the NFL in Canada. The goal was to leverage this aspirational property within Canadian Tire’s automotive retail channel to increase sell-in and sell-through of Castrol synthetic during this key sales period. As the #1 motor oil in Canada, the alignment with the NFL property was to be a critical component of the consumer and trade offering.
Developed a highly engaging trade promotion to drive sell in that includes a chance to win an exclusive trip to Super Bowl XLIX for dealers and rewards of personalized jerseys for parts and service teams.
To leverage sponsorship activation to the fullest, consumers were offered secondary prizing of a trip to the regular-season NFL game of their choice plus a grand prize of a trip to Arizona to touch down at Super Bowl XLIX.
Uniquely designed and engaging sales tools conveyed the objectives, the mechanics and the trade rewards of the promotion. Additionally, regular trade sales leaderboard stats helped to encourage ongoing participation and awareness around sales performance by dealer location.
Eye-catching retail POS showcased the promotion along the path to purchase within key areas of participating Canadian Tire locations including retail shelf, part & services departments. Targeted ad units ran on key media sites to increase promotional awareness and drive to Canadian Tire retail.
The results? A year-over-year increase in sell in and sell through, along with some very happy trade winners, consumers and clients.
